I love Google This is not a love story silly. It’s about SEO and stuff like that. How do you love Google anyway? In this context love means doing what Google wants you do – blindly.

Love thy content

Google loves content. Don’t ask me what good content means. But one thing is for sure. Good content doesn’t necessarily mean writing poetry or Wordsworth. Google wants you to write consistently, clearly and on the same subject. For example, if I my site is about auto insurance, Google would expect that the content of this website should be on this subject. Is there a conflict between selling auto insurance and also maintaining a website on it? Clearly, Google has no opinion on this matter. The only thing it’s concerned about is that you provide information on auto insurance which visitors are looking for. If Google search result on ‘Auto insurance’ leads someone to your site, he should get information on this topic. On the other hand if you only sell something on your site and provide no content whatsoever, the visitor would be frustrated and guess what – he would not come to Google looking for information again. If all of us try and fool visitors, eventually no one would use Google search. This would be bad for Google. Under such circumstances would you expect Google to love you? Of course not.

On the other hand if Google search results in finding the right information, more and more people will visit Google. In return Google will shower you with love.

How does Google know whether to love you or not?

Google has created many tools and methods by which it evaluates your site and your behavior. Keyword density is only one parameter. But if you think you can fool Google into falling in love with you, you are seriously wrong. Instead you must sincerely make all efforts to provide good content. My advice is not to go into the science of SEO but to the heart. Look for ways to please Google. Find great content, join good sites and blogs, build relations with nice people along with their blogs and create backlinks which are meaningful. These are not difficult tasks. In fact they are simple ways to make Google happy. It’s a proven fact that Google reciprocates your love.

Is love blind?

Love with Google better be blind. Don’t get into the questioning mode. Don’t go into the science of SEO. Simply follow your heart. You know what Google wants. Why don’t you go and give what it wants? Why do you look for ways to fool Google? Blindly follow some simple rules and you are done. SEO is the easiest thing on earth if you only follow the leader – Google.
