One of the easiest ways to get the word out about a particular topic or product is through blogging. Blogging gives people an easy way to write product reviews or talk about a subject for a free platform. There are two basic ways that you can easily get traffic to your blog. The first way is through a blogging network. Blogging networks are basically a network of blogs based on either a single subject or niche market. Blogging networks can either be focused on sports, acne, teeth whitening or weight loss among the other niches. Another way to get traffic to your blog is by becoming a guest blogger. Guest blogging is a little different. Basically you contact the webmaster, inform them of an article that you would like to write and then write the post that will appear on your blog. Although these are the two main differences there are other subtle differences between the two. Here are a few differences between a private blog network and guest blogging.
Networks
Blogging networks can work in many way. There are some blogging networks where you are paid to write a post for a specific blog. This blog could focus on a specific niche such as weight loss. Usually when you join a blogging network your blog is included within their platform. This means that when somebody comes to the blogging network’s website they will be able to find your blog based on a keyword search or if the blog is listed via the home page. Blogging networks contain many blogs. So when you join the blogging network your blog is competing with other blogs within your specific niche. This is much different than when you do a guest post for a webmaster as your entire blog will not be featured on their website, only your post will.
Approvals
Approvals are another feature that differentiate blogging networks from guest blogging. When you sign-up for a blogging network more than likely your blog is going to automatically be approved within their system. Most blogging networks will make you register for an account and then enter your blog’s URL address into the fields provided. Once you have registered with the blogging network you are probably going to be approved automatically barring any event where your blog has inappropriate material or if you have signed up for the wrong channel on their network. With guest posting your post might not be approved by the webmaster. Webmasters use of human eye to make a decision of whether or not the material that you were going to provide them will be suitable for their blog. Many times guest posters run into trouble choosing a topic that has already been covered extensively on the blog.
Backlinks
One of the biggest reasons that people choose guest posting over blog networks is the fact that they’re back links will appear on a blog that has a higher Google PR rating. Blogging networks tend to have high PR ratings, however, the competition throughout the network can leave a lot of blogs unseen. When you do a guest posting for another blog you’re allowed to put a backlink through your byline. Backlinks are extremely important to getting readers over to your blog in order to increase traffic. It is more likely that you will get readers to come to your blog through a guest posting them by using blog networks.
