Google, the world largest and most used search engine is now looking toward the future and forcing marketers to rethink how they use SEO.
Internet marketers have long lived and died by SEO or Search Engine Optimization. The most effective way to build your business or drive traffic to your website previously was strong keyword optimization, content and many back links. Back links and keyword stuffing is definitely not the key to building your business during 2013. Content writing directly on your site is taking over. The mindset is now keeping your users on your site.
Quality Content on Websites
Search engines emphasize that it is much better to have high quality content than content that means nothing. Google and other search engines are refining this idea and making modifications in website content and the exact number of written words that an article can have.
Write articles for your website yourself or hire a free lance writer. Make your articles interesting and meaningful. Have an awesome title to draw in users. Avoid all grammar mistakes and watch for spelling errors. No one wants to read a grade-school sounding article that is difficult to understand because of simple grammar errors. Read your article out loud several times before posting. If it sounds good to your listening ear, it is probably good to read.
Keyword Optimization
Keywords are still important. However, in the past keywords were used almost too much when trying to get site and content read. In this year’s website content use your brand keyword or keywords that bring out the main topic of your article. It is also great if you use alternative key words that link back to your main content topic.
Social Media Influences
Social media is the way more users are searching for information. SEO is changing to reflect that more personalization and website interaction is becoming more accepted. Social signals used by Facebook Likes and Shares, Pinterest, and Google+ give some popular sites more traffic and a boost in their recognition. Use these sites in moderation, however, or you may gain a reputation as an unworthy site. Users may just go to their social media page rather than clicking on your site.
Mobile Devices for Browsing
Look around you and what do you generally see? Everyone is on their smartphones or tablets gathering information. Tablets and mobile phones allow immediate and easy internet access. In order to tap into this market webmasters are improving their sites to become more mobile friendly. Simpler sites with less back links and more pure content are the ways to increase traffic to your site.
Keep using keywords and phrases, but make them less intrusive. Websites need to be more social and personal. Back links are great, but upfront content is better. Make sure your website looks good, has inbound links, can handle the language of your target global audience and use great content writers. SEO will always be the best way to find the information. Think about your audience and change to make end user specifications pertinent.

Many thanks for all these insights about SEO in 2013. It’s gonna be tough to rank in SERPs; fingers crossed!
However I think on-site optimization is still a great way to please Google.
Wait and see! Thanks again.
