Website Traffic is so important for your website to be able to grow and without it your website will die very quickly. There are so many ways to get traffic to your site that there are no longer any excuses for you not being able to get at least a few unique visitors a day.
When it comes to getting traffic there is no easy way about it and you are going have to do a little bit of work. Once you get the ball rolling the traffic will start to come to your site like an avalanche.
Have got an avatar?
This may sound so simple but not that many bloggers have one. An avatar is a picture of you that shows up whenever you leave a comment on somebody blog. This is so important because you want people to know who you are and for people to get familiar with your face.
If you would like to create an avatar you can go to gravatar.com and create one free. When you set up the account make sure that you use the same picture and don’t change it.
When you consistently use the same avatar picture people get used to your face and this will begin to develop your social proof.
As you start to comment on other people’s blogs people will start to see your face everywhere and that will stir curiosity on their part and they will check out your site.
Manual blog commenting
I know you’ve heard it before but this is one of the most effective ways to get traffic to your website. As you start to manual blog comment on highly traffic blogs the more chance you have of people clicking on your link and checking out your website.
One of the things I do is to find 10 highly trafficked blogs or websites and I manually comment on those 10 blogs consistently. Just by doing this I get over 100 extra visitors to my blog every day.
Don’t take shortcuts when I say shortcuts I mean don’t use any automated blog commenting software because this does not work. All that automated blog commenting software does is destroy your social proof and any trust that you have built up.
Write fresh content
This is another important strategy that you have to adopt because nobody hangs around an empty blog or website for very long. I know that content creation can be a bit of a headache sometimes but to be successful and make money online you have to do it.
Remember that this is not a hobby it’s your business so you have to put the working to be able to get the results you are looking for.
Try and update your blog or website at least twice a week as a minimum if possible four times a week. When you post your content try and post it the same time every week for example Tuesday and Friday.
If you post your content in this manner then visitors will return to your site on those days to see your fresh content. Also Google likes consistent content on websites, so the SEO benefits of doing this is fantastic because Google will start to see you as an authority and not a fly by night blogger who only updates once in a blue moon.
